You wouldn’t think that a conversation about cell phones and cable TV would bring about personal exploration, right? Well, it did for me this morning.
I was reminded that we are creatures of habit … often staying with things because we know what to expect, we know ‘how that story goes’, or sometimes because we don’t think about things that aren’t down right ‘broken’ or causing us distress.
I bought a card a long time ago because I loved the meaning. I never had the intention of sending it to anyone … no, this card was for me … a reminder.
“Life Begins At The End Of Your Comfort Zone”
Today, this simple conversation about cell phones and cable TV reminded me that there are a few areas that I need to re-visit to keep living, changing, and evolving and that although this quote may be taken to mean something big … we should also be questioning even the smallest things … and questioning often.
Do the things in our lives make us happy? Do they continue to serve a purpose? Are there any areas in our lives where we are stuck? It's time to start ‘shaking the tree’.
Much love always,
