As we begin to plan for the weekend ahead let us also begin to think about carrying our yoga practice off of the mat and think about Ahimsa, the first Yama of the 8 limbs of yoga. Ahimsa is non-harming which can relate to harming others and ourselves either with actions or words. Being compassionate.
We are kind beings but sometimes go about our day not being mindful of some of our kind acts because we're on auto-pilot. One way to build compassion is to do simple acts of kindness that allow others lives to be as important as our own. Let us slow down and mindfully think about how we practice Ahimsa in our daily lives.
